The Veterinary Pharmacology Research Foundation is very pleased to welcome our newest board member, Katherine Palmatier!
Katie has worked closely with VPRF since 2016, with her contributions steadily growing over the years from her initial focus on operations to an important new role which also encompasses marketing for our growing foundation. Highlights of her recent accomplishments include designing and building a new website for VPRF, establishing an improved donation system, and serving as a key organizer of our biennial silent auction fundraising event.
According to VPRF President Jane G. Owens, "Katie has been the glue that holds us together for many years. We are thrilled that she has joined the VPRF board, and we look forward to her future contributions which will highlight her strong marketing and communication skills."
Katie is a 2009 graduate of Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked in the animal health industry for Dechra since 2014 and is currently part of the Global Corporate Communications Team. In her role as Communications Specialist, she develops internal communications campaigns and related materials for Dechra’s global employee population.
Katie is based in South Portland, Maine, where she lives with her two cats. She has greatly enjoyed working with VPRF over the years, and as an animal lover, feels strongly about the Foundation’s mission of advancing veterinary research. She looks forward to continuing her service as a board member with a marketing focus.
