VPRF is proud to partner with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) again in 2026 to offer a student research fellowship with a focus in veterinary pharmacology.

This fellowship serves our long-term goal of increasing the number and quality of trained veterinary pharmacology researchers.

Priority will be given to those students who plan to have a career in veterinary pharmacology research for the benefit of veterinary species.

This year, up to two fellowships of up to $10,000 each will be awarded.

Eligibility requirements include:

Must be enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) for at least one year at time of application and be in good standing
Must be enrolled in an US-based academic institution
Student must be a current member of AAVPT (a link to the application is provided in the application for those who are not yet members)
The student’s academic institution, faculty mentor, and one additional reference must provide letters of support
