VPRF Silent Auction Raises over $6,000 for Research & Training

Last month, after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, our organization held another very successful fundraising silent auction during the banquet dinner at the 22nd American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics (AAVPT) Biennial Symposium.

We are pleased to announce that over $6,000 was raised as a result of the auction. This money will go towards our Foundation’s efforts of enabling exciting new animal health research as well as developing training programs to increase the number and quality of veterinary pharmacology researchers.

Nearly 70 items were available to bid on such as antiques, artwork, electronics, and even vacation homes in stunning locations, with many of these items donated by the AAVPT membership and supporters of VPRF. As we are a non-profit organization, all fundraising efforts are critical to enable VPRF to continue to do what we do. A sincere thank you to all who donated and/or purchased items!

Overall, it was great to be back in person at the Biennial in 2023, meeting with other members of our veterinary pharmacology community as well as attending engaging and informative programming sessions. Well done to AAVPT for a great event – VPRF hopes to continue this fun and worthwhile tradition of the silent auction at future Biennials!
