Applications for our 2026 Student Fellowship Program are now OPEN!

We are pleased to announce the return of our annual student fellowship program, supporting the next generation of leaders in veterinary pharmacology. These fellowships are designed to advance our long-term mission of increasing both the number and the quality of highly trained researchers dedicated to veterinary pharmacology.

Fellowship Overview

For 2026, VPRF will award up to two fellowships, each valued at up to $10,000. These awards aim to support graduate students conducting meaningful research that contributes to the advancement of veterinary pharmacology.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing careers in veterinary pharmacology research, particularly those whose work focuses on improving the health and well-being of veterinary species.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) for at least one year at the time of application and be in good academic standing

• Attend a U.S.-based academic institution

• Hold current membership in the American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics (AAVPT)

• Provide letters of recommendation from:

  • Their academic institution

  • Their faculty mentor

Application Timeline

The application period is open from June 1 through August 15, 2026. A decision will be made by September 30, 2026.
