Applications are now open for the 2022 Veterinary Pharmacology Research Foundation (VPRF)/American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) grant program on the AVMF website.
VPRF and AVMF are non-profit organizations that have partnered to fund research grants with a focus on veterinary pharmacology and pharmacokinetics. This funding will support research into new or currently-approved medications for combating diseases and conditions of companion and food animals as well as projects that ensure the safety of food products from treated livestock. These areas have historically been underfunded by traditional granting agencies. To date, VPRF has generated more than $400,000 in research funding and awarded 23 research grants.
For 2022, we are pleased to announce that we will recognize two outstanding pharmacologists who we have recently lost. We are proud to honor these remarkable pharmacologists who have contributed significantly to the field:
2022 Honorary Lloyd E. Davis Pharmacology Grant
2022 Honorary Ralph Claxton Pharmacokinetic Grant
The deadline for completed submissions is September 15, 2022.
